What do I wear to my boudoir shoot?
31 days, 31 dudes, 31 professions - tackling a huge topic... Human Trafficking.
What does a doctor, a coach, a fisherman, and a photographer have in common?
They are all professions that have a connection to human trafficking activities. Human Trafficking can take on many forms: Labor, Sexual Exploitation, organ trafficking, athlete trafficking, domestic labor, mail order brides, child soldiers, and more. It is estimated that there are over 20 million people currently enslaved in 2017.
As a member of Soroptimist, I became more aware that human trafficking was becoming an epidemic in our communities. January is human trafficking awareness month and I am committed to educating our public about human trafficking and it's aftermath.
I decided to use my talents and Create a "dudoir" calendar called Dudes Against Human Trafficking, but then I realized that I would have a limited reach since the photos wouldn't be published online. So I created a sister project called Challengers for Change, which focuses on men and their profession, taking a stand against human trafficking.
I would like to invite you to check out our online campaign at www.facebook.com/dudesagainsthumantrafficking. Share the photos. Donate to the organizations supported by the men. Educate yourself. Make a positive impact.
If you would like to have your employer/employees trained about human trafficking activities in the workplace, check out www.bestalliance.org
